Join Us

We are building an interdisciplinary team of researchers passionate about human-computer interaction, serious games, adaptive systems, and human-robot interaction. Our lab welcomes highly motivated, talented, and proactive students interested in exploring the intersection of technology, physiology, and interactive experiences.

Ph.D. Students

We are looking to accept one Ph.D. student for Fall 2025. Please refer to the official Wilfrid Laurier University admissions page and apply by December 1st, 2024. In the application system, select Dr. John Muñoz as your preferred advisor.

Undergraduate & Master’s Students

Current Wilfrid Laurier University students can join the lab for research credits or as research assistants, depending on project availability. Openings will be shared through department mailing lists, particularly in User Experience Design, Computer Science, Psychology, Criminology, Health Sciences, and Game Design.

Visiting Students

We welcome self-funded visiting students for the summer and, in rare cases, during the academic year. Applicants should have prior research experience and aligned interests with an ongoing project in our lab. If you require a visa, we recommend reaching out at least six months in advance (e.g., contact us in December for a May start). We prioritize ensuring that visiting students have a meaningful, productive experience that aligns with their career goals.

Postdocs

We currently do not have postdoctoral openings, but prospective postdocs are welcome to reach out regarding future funding opportunities.
